Both also utilise a wide variety of elemental abilities and, ironically, are often associated with meteors (Rayquaza often being tasked with destroying one in various games while Bahamut infamously was inside a meteor that it emerged from and proceeded to destroy the world in Final Fantasy XIV). Why I want this: So we arrive at my second most wanted DC VS Non-Marvel fight, and it's a damn good one as well, not only does it scream interesting, but it also gets two pretty underrated characters on Death Battle, which is just all kinds of poggers, and I can't help but love it, from solid as hell connections, amazing animation potential, great music potential if Brandon's score is anything to go by, it's also fairly close, and there's also a ton of things here that make me love this matchup more than I already do, so yeah, it's good. Likeliness: 5/10 While it has it's fans, compared to Edelgard it's chances are pretty minor, and with MK 11 not fading into obscurity anytime soon, I doubt that we might see this matchup in the future. To the solid interaction potential, which could be wholesome as fuck, to the unique franchise pairing, to JamesSonic's reaction to this happening, which is again, wholesome as fuck, and you got yourself a solid idea on right here. Connections: Disillusioned rough housers who worked their way up the criminal ladder through participation in different teams and organisations (including time on a government sanctioned force), and are a lot more amicable than they seem. Why I want this: Simply put, the destructionary potential is off the richter scale, with just how insanely powerful these two characters are it's easy to see why the animation potential is just so good, not only that, the music and banter, mainly from Yukari, would be awesome. Thoughts on alternatives: Rosalina VS Whis could be neat, if Whis didn't stomp so badly. Connections: Side characters who essentially fill the role of series buttmonkey (or one of in Junpei's case) that are surprisingly adept at combat, who eventually retired from fighting to pursue a career in baseball (Yamcha being a player and Junpei being the coach of a kids team), but eventually were called back into action for different reasons (Yamcha helps defend Earth on several occasions while Junpei got stuck in Inaba after falling asleep on a train he was on in Ultimax which resulted in him being dragged into the P-1 Climax where he had to help save Mitsuru, Aigis, Fuuka, Akihiko and Inaba).
